Default Brake lights

Help. So my brake light will not come on with front or back pedal/lever. Checked the fuse and it’s good. Here’s the kicker. The brake lights in my tour pick do come one. 08 Ultra.

Bulb, connections, wire under rear fender. Put a tester to the socket.

I replaced the bulb and the tour pack lights up so it’s not the switches. Tester to the socket should read what voltage? Thanks everyone.

If the rear tire has come into contact with the wiring that runs down the inside of the rear fender you could have tour pak lights without the other. The lights are 12 volts.

So I jumped the rear brake light switch and it worked on the tour pack but the bike nothing, front switch works on tour pack but not brake light. , voltage to the plug is reading 11.38 volts, plug the bulb receptacle back in and the voltage reads 11.38. Seems like all of that is good. Fuse is good, relay is good, wire under the fender is still in the sheath so it’s good. Could it be a bad receptacle? My cruise is also working intermittently. Help!,, please.

I know you replaced it, but are you sure the bulb is good?

11.38 is showing a lot of resistance from somewhere. Should be battery voltage of around 12.6. See if that 11.38 has enough amp to light one of those bulbs with jumper wires.
