Actually I am paying cash for the bike this week some time. they are going to install the kit before I pick it up. I worked with the dealership owner for about 4 hours today, nice guy. kept haggling with him until I got what I wanted. He also gave me 20% off of accessories in his store as well. The salesman was in disbelief as to the deal I was getting. got a handshake as well as on paper. Fire red peril, I can't wait.
Well it's not in my garage yet, so I won't count my chickens before they hatch. I saved for a long time to get a Harley and don't want to get taken for a ride, thats why I'm asking for your opinions of this deal.
I thought the kit was already on. I think you should get your parts like Bill said earlier. The 25% discount is a big deal. Not all dealers will do that for you. Get it while you can. It really adds up quickly. Pick out your grips, floorboard inserts, shifter pegs, brake pedal and stuff that you know you're gonna want to change in the future. There are alot of great people on this forum that are glad to help with any advice you need. We've all been there. Learn from our mistakes and knowledge. You are really gonna love your Roadglide. Sweetest bike Harley makes.

Thane - I'm happy and envious for you! I have been reading alot of your post going through the process.
Looking forward to seeing some pictures when you get her home.
I was wondering the same thing on how all that works when you get/order a new bike.
For example if you ordered your new bike with the Sundowner seat in place of the stock seat - I would think you don't add full msrp for the Sundowner. Do they subtrack the cost of the stock seat?
I am planning on ordering a bike this winter - I have started a list of "must-haves".
I wouldn't even know where to start with the "must-haves' if not for reading this board.
Like Terry's post mentioning

(thanks alot Terry!) I will now be studying the catalog for those items and putting them on by wish list.
The bike doesn't come fire red pearl...that's a special edition RK. Better check the paperk. If I sound pissed I am I paid 23K OTD w/chrome front end. But I had to have it and don't regret it.
