I have been watching videos on how to install new handlebars on my 2015 ultra limited and I don't think it is a job I am comfortable with doing myself. Can anyone tell me how much labor cost I am looking at for having Harley do it? I am assuming $100 per hour labor rate?
Put new bars on my 04 RKC yesterday. Never worked on a motorcycle before in my life. (though I do own a Classic Car).....pretty easy job.
TBW would be slightly more difficult, so I'd rate this a 2 wrench out of 5 wrench job. Harder on your bike compared to mine.
Sorry - never had my bike in the garage so don't know what they charge. I've seen guys says 1 hour - and some say 4 hours.
it's really a simple task if you have the tools, but the guys I've known to have it done for them, seems like it's been in the $800 range at the dealership for labor and the bars.
8 to 10 hours...also look for a smaller shop. Local guy by me does it for $300 and parts. You can do it yourself, it is not that difficult but is time comsuming. Pay attention and take pics as you go thru process. Lots of good videos on you tube to help you.
The Rushmore's are MUCH easier to replace the bars on than previous year. I have done it twice now. Did Wild One Wo578's on 2016 Limited and Yaffe 10 inch Monley Bars on 2017 CVO limited.
If you are going with a height that does not require clutch and brake cables it is really pretty easy. I did the first at a total cost of $256.00 plus six hours total labor over a couple of nights. Then I did the second one at a cost of $450.00 with about the same labor time. I could do it quicker now but really take my time and focus.
My experience with the dealers is they automatically add cables/lines even if not needed and usually quote 6 to 8 hours labor. It is a PROFIT generator for them.
A lot of great threads on here that helped me and gave me the confidence to do it my self. I also did a detailed thread on each installation that you can search for if interested.
I told my brother who has a 2015 that I would do his for free is he wants me to this winter. I get a lot of satisfaction from this project.
You R kidding me!
Are you sure you guys are bikers?
You cant install a simple set of bars?
I bet you got every kind of patch on your riding costume!
go ahead ask me how i feel............
I just did mine on my 15 limited. Yes, it took some time to wire the bars (kiss my *** yaffe), but everything else is pretty simple. You just need that t27 or whatever it is and patience.

WOW 6 posts
The OP asks a question and states his feeling and concerns.
ALL FOUR post following are encouraging him to consider doing it himself with suggestions and answers to his question.
Then a D I C K head comes on and insults everyone. Get your meds check buddy and maybe another a hole patch for your costume.
