Default '08 Trunk on '16 RG

I bought a leather covered trunk from an 2008 Ultra Glide CVO and mounted it to a 2016 detachable Two-Up Tour Pak mounting bracket. I did this without drilling any new holes in the trunk and it looks great.

It has an L.E.D. light mounted inside the lid and has a small pigtail with a connector attached. I don't expect it to plug right in and was wondering if anyone can offer advice on where to pick up powwer for it. I can add a tilt switch or a toggle, not sure which one.
Any advice is appreciuated.

You will need this harness that will plug in under the seat and give you run, stop, blinkers and 12v power for the tour pak
You will need to splice the tour pak side as this is for plug and play for the 2014 and up tour pak plug.

Hope this helps

If you are only looking for power for the led light, why not just tap into an existing wire? On my 2011 RK, there is an orange wire with white stripe, (that is a switched power wire)that goes to the rear lights. Tap into that and ground using the bolt that holds the ECM tray down....

I will take a look at that too.

I thought about sitting down with a test light and searching for the wire(s) that would power these lights. I looked in my service manual but electrical systems are not my strong point. I'm thinking there may be a plug that has everything there and that maybe someone with a 2016 Ultra could identify it.

I'll get in there and take a look, and thanks for your input too.
