Default wiring plug for tour pack?

ok im putting i got and are putting one of the cheaper tour packs from ebay on my 2012 road glide custom with quick detach rack. like others it wont be used all the time so i couldnt justify the the coin right now for the hd one. i want to put the led light bar i got with it on the trunk and it has a wire with plug on it. dont care if its hooked up as a brake or tail light but wondered if there might be a plug under seat that could be used? could someone post a photo of it if there is one. hd wants 1 and half hour charge to do it.

I can't get a pic right now, but can describe it for you.....there are actually 2 plugs you can use.

The one under the seat is run off the acc switch next to the cruise control. It is directly in front of the ECU/battery and has a dust cover on it. It doesn't extend, so if your tour pak didn't come with an extension or a pretty long wire you'll need an extension.

The second one is under the right side cover. There is a bundle of wires zip tied together to the right of the fuse box. Cut the zip tie and the one bundle can be used for the tour pak (it's pre wired for ultra models. It's long enough to route under the seat and reach all the way to the tour pak. Craigffb did an excellent write up on this, like to his post is https://www.hdforums.com/forum/touri...ur-pak-27.html, the info you're looking for is on page 25 or 26 and has a pic of the wire on the right side.

Either plug will work for just power or as a taillight, assuming your light bar is set up for it. Don't quote me, but if I remember correctly it's blue and black for power and orange/yellow stripe for brake.

Hope this helps, good luck.

It's on page 25 post 249. Post a picture of the plug on your tour pak and someone will be able to tell you what you can use on the bike to power it.
