2016 Limited Ultra. I had the fuel door powder coated because of the annoying glare in my windshield. It's not dangerous, just annoying sometimes. It helped, but I'm still seeing the glare of the un-powder coated chrome all around the fuel door. Looks like a circle in my windshield. Anybody know if Plasti Dip will work on that chrome around the fuel door? Will it stick? Do I need a primer?

I plastic dipped the fuel door. I just sprayed it. Cleaned it first. I am going to do the whole console assembly this summer some time. No primer. Plastic dip clear coat may help it last longer.
It will work, but try not to get any fuel spilled on it - that will inhibit the adhesion of the Plasti Dip. If you don't want the flat or matte appearance, spray a coat of Plasti Dip Glossifier on as your final coat(s).

Maybe some black 1/8" pin striping is all you need to see if eliminating the rim will cure your dilemma.
