-2 in 1 mid pipe w/ HD Screamin Eagle Muffler
I'm looking at a 2013 RK and it has a -2 in 1 mid pipe w/ HD Screamin Eagle Muffler.
is this just personal preference or is this better in some way than duals for instance?

Proper 2-1 pipes make great power but I don’t know of any that use a normal slip on muffler like a SE. my guess is someone put a ‘10 streetglide header on it. It is no better than any other stock header...

a 2 into 1 pipe performs better than other configurations. true-dual pipes actually cost you a couple of horsepower and a few lb/ft of torque. its generally not a huge difference, but if you're trying to squeeze as much performance as possible from the bike, you'll want a 2 into 1

This is likely the case, and unless the muffler is designed for 2 into 1 operation, it's gonna cost you power and it's gonna sound like crap. Two into one mufflers have bigger chambers than mufflers designed for duals...I tried putting an OE 2 into 1 from a 2010 FLHX onto my 2011 using a slip-on designed for duals...the system lasted all of a minute and a half on my bike...
