So I bought some adjustable long angle highway peg mounts today from Harley. The right side clamp went on with out a hitch but the left side one won’t even come close to closing. Fearing damage to the engine gaurd I stopped with out trying to force it for today but the shop is closed so I’m looking for advice now. The pictures show the left clamp in the approx spot I want it. See the big gap, it’s like it’s not circular.

Side by side view of clamps, pulled the right one off to check. I kinda screwed up but the “messed up” clamp is on the right now. The good clamp is on the left in this picture
