Default PCV engine temp display

Not sure if anyone can help. I have a PCV installed along with auto tune on my 02. I have the box checked for engine temp to display it, but, it doesn't show temp. Las time I checked I had the latest version of the firmware installed. Anyone else have an older (i.e. 02 etc...) with the PCV installed that does display the temp?

Thanks.

Do you have a temperature pick up probe installed and wired into the PCV ?

Didn't think it needed anything extra. I was under the impression that the info came directly from the ECM.

From the Power Commander website under "product information"

"Analog input (allows user to install any 0-5 volt sensor and build an adjustment table based on its input such as boost or temperature)"

That sentence tells me you need to install an additional pick up sensor to provide a signal to the PCV.

I have a pcv installed on my 08 ultra- when i used a laptop to check out my map parameters(i just got the bike last year) i discovered it had a map from fuelmoto- and on the same screen- it displayed current engine temp in yellow numbers to the right side of the screen. I dont have any extra sensors.

My 14 and the 10 sg I had displayed ET. Only thing that did was cause worry. Fact is no matter what the temp read bike never melted down.

In my opinion.
Best thing you can do is tune bike and put the PV up enjoy the ride. Start watching temps, spark knock, fuel ratio etc. It takes the fun out of the ride.
