Front Brake switch inoperable. 2001 Road King Classic
Front brake light switch inoperable. Dealer wants $300 to change it out. Is this something a novice mechanic should try to tackle? And is $300 a fair price for this repair?

Get a service manual and review the procedure to change out the switch. If you don't feel comfortable enough to proceed let your dealer fix it. If you bugger something up during the repair it could end up costing you more...
