A couple of weeks ago we went down to Low Country Harley to "just look"... I have been driving the wife crazy for a long time to get a Harley. We got up to the front door and she looked at me and said; you can get your bike if you want! I'll be picking her up tomorrow from the service dept. I'm getting all the usual chrome must haves and I went with the Bassanni flipped slashed cut s/o's. I heard the pipes on an 06 and I hope mine sounds just as good with the 96 motor. You just can't beat the way a bagger looks!! Cheers...
Congratulations but what makes you think this will be your last Harley? I have kept Harleys for as long as twelve years and then could not resist buying another.
I still can't believe I have a Harley in my garage. Yes, my wife rocks!! If I can only talk her in to some black powdercoated wheels. It just never stops does it?
Congrats on your beautiful SG. Got my first 2 weeks ago, can't seem to get off the seat. My 1st also but hopefully not my last. Enjoy your relationship. (with your wife and your bike).
I have a wife like that too. I was very happy with my 2001 Springer Softail, but like therest of you you have to go look at new ones every now and then. After I left the dealership the wife calls and asks me what I was doing. I told her just left the Harley Shop. She asked if I bought a new one, I told her "no honey I would always ask you first" she said if you get a new one get a blue one. I made a U-turn.
How old are you, unless your retired and one foot in the grave, I doubt that this is your last Harley.
Congrats on your first Harley, welcome to the family, and the forum.
BTW, the addiction never really stops, just when you think you have your bike the way you want it...the MoCo comes out with a new model that just draws you to it...and WHAM, it starts all over!
