thank you I’m going to ride it more and see if it moves down the stick more as it’s at the half way point on the stick now

i'd just ride it jeez that's only a quart in 4000 km on a new build. If it was a quart every 1500 km after you put 10000 km on it then do something.

A new built engine will many times use oil till the rings completely seat to the cylinder, so what you have is most likely normal. If it stays the same for many thousands more miles or gets worse then there could be an issue.

I have never run the oil halfway down the stick like many suggest. I see no reason for it and all it really does it cause more heat in the engine since you have less oil to absorb the heat. If you aren't blowing oil out the air filter then run the oil at full, as checked on the stand and warm.

itnis blowing it out the air cleaner I’ve narrowed it down to that as it’s not smoking at all but seems to have a lot of blow by

its not not smoking I had it on the dyno last week and had zero smoke coming out of it plugs look good but I can smell oil burning when I’m riding

I changed the umbrella valves and had the heads rebuilt as well I am running an open air cleaner

You are well within the accepted consumption rate of 1qt for 1000 mi. I would just leave it at half way on the dipstick, ride it, and monitor from there.
