do you happen to have a picture of where and how you mounted them?
Horns are wedged between saddlebags and fender. Believe I used a bracket the horns came with, or I may have fabricated my own ... it's been over 10 years and I just don't recall.
Exactly where you indicated, I installed a Mini-Beast air horn. There are even holes in the frame that lined up. Been there for about 4 years, and 40,000 Miles.

thats a great help. Looks like its not too hot in there. Thanks. Ive been wanting to do the stock horn delete anyway. This would be a good time for it.
Unless your heart is set on a new horn, your old one might just need adjustment. There is a screw on the back side that is held with a lock nut. Loosen the lock nut and turn the screw in or out a bit and the horn may come alive again. That same screw can also be adjusted for maximum volume, the horn will get quite loud when the screw is turned in one direction, just before it quits working again. Return the screw to a position where the horn works again, and that is about as loud as it will get. Don't forget to retighten the lock nut.

i will try that. Right now the horn makes a sickly meep sound for half a second. Thats all it will do.
