Default Lower Fairings from Amazon??

Has anyone bought or seen the quality of the lower fairings from Amazon? They have one brand called Advanblack and another called XFMT. Not sure if the quality but much cheaper than the HD ones. Just curious

Check those companys out as much as you can, allot of those places selling on amazon are manufacturers in china . They have unusual names like the ones you mentioned. Read the reviews carefully, all of them. If there isn't any reviews then its a crap shoot. I buy a lot of stuff off amazon(for the bike and other things)and a lot of the stuff isn't to bad.Is it as good as o.e.m.??? absolutely not. But at a fraction of the cost of o.e.m. sometimes its a good deal depending on what it is. In the case of lower fairings, they may not bolt right up to the bike. If this happens you will have to fab something up to make them work. This course may not look to good, again check reviews.

Thanks for the info. I also just saw a company called Hogwerkz and the reviews for them seem to be very positive

Advanblack makes some bang up Chinese stuff. It’s a 8/10 when compared to Harley brand things, but the other Chinese parts may be a 5-6/10.

My AdvanBlack RUSHMORE lower fairings are delivering on Monday. I'll let you know how they are. Their reviews seem great, so I have high expectations from a value standpoint. I'm expecting something like the 8 out of 10 quality compared to harley brand that was mentioned above. You'll want to decide if it's worth paying more for the Rushmore style (will only fit 2014+ model years), which are more money. What was well worth the money to me is that the rushmore style has a lever (under the storage compartment or speaker if you choose the speaker unit) facing the driver to open and close the lower fairing wind guards while you are riding.

How are the glove box covers? Hold shut well or flimsy?

I used one of the "20% off anything" coupons that eBay seems to be offering at least once a month and got a set of the lower fairings (2014-2018 models) for my 2012, costing me $103 including free shipping. WOW. I was impressed. They didn't come with any instructions, but were fully assembled. I removed my earlier model lowers that rattled really badly and put these new ones on. These didn't rattle much at all. I've heard some voice concern about the glove-box latches being flimsy or holding up, but the OEM models aren't much better. I really don't open them often.

Everyone that sees them thinks they are OEM unless I point out the glove-box area is not rubbery, it's hard plastic. These are WELL worth the what I paid. The OEM version is $650 minimum. I've since been given a pair of OEM lowers, but haven't switched them out yet. There is hardly any difference. For resale value I think the HD OEM parts on the bike will be better in the long-run though.
