Rivco Products (www.rivcoproducts.com) makes an add-on center stand for H-D touring models. Has anyone installed this product? If so, what do you think of it? I am interested in getting one and am was wondering if there is any reason not to. I don't ride aggressively enough to worry too much about cornering clearance issues.
I don't have one, but a fellow I ride with does and he swears by it. He told me they were pretty easy to install and it make a big difference to him when he is detailing the bike and showing it off. It really looks good when the bike is straight up looking right at you.
Hope this helps
I have a friend who has one and he never uses his side stand anymore. It is much easier to use than the Harley stand that mounts to your crash bar in front of the engine.
Can't speak for the Rivco....but I recently installed the centerstand from VMPI (www.vmpiamerica.com). Took less than 15 minutes to install on an '05 Ultra and is the best accessory for the bike I have ever purchased. EXTREMELY STABLE while on center. Very easy to go up and come down.

The Rivco stands mount under the bike, the Harley stands mount up front on crash bars. Rivco's work nice.
I installed one 2 years ago..I really like it..on a '94 Dresser..I travel 25k+ a year..use it a lot to load & unload the bike..makes it nice when it's straight up & down..
OK now for the down side..it has a rubber bumper stop which rests against the botton of the oil pan..my bumper wore off & started to wear into the pan..caught it in time on a coast to coast run..will now wrap the bar that run's across the bottom with leather or a rubber bungee cord..which ever I feel will work the best..used a temp rubber bungee cord to finish the trip..No ground clearance issues at all..work's well and is out of the way..I recomend this product..
