Default Differences in Ultra Limited Models

School me if you will. I have a 2011 Ultra Limited which I have had for a few months now. Really like the ride and performance. Lots better than my Police Roadking from 2000. As I understand it, apparently there were pretty good changes to the Ultra Limited around 2014 or so and again in 2018? Is this correct? I am sort of thinking ahead on a replacement for my 2011 when finances permit (mine had 65,000 miles) and was wondering what the changes were and are they worth the upgrade.

Yes, 2014 was the first edition of the "Rushmore" edition. Among a host of other modifications, I believe it was the introduction of the 103 engine. 2018 was introduction of the "Milwaukee 8" engine; I believe most features remained consistent with the 2014-2017 [except CB evidently went from standard to optional]

103 was way before the Rushmoe but cannot say which models.
M8 debuted in 2017.

There have been CVO 103's back to the mid-2000's, but you could choose a 96 or a 103 in 2011. I wanna say touring bikes all had 103's in 2012. By 2014, the 96 was no longer available in the touring line.

I think...

in the ultra limited 2010 was the first year of the 103. Not sure if it was standard or option at that point. May even been a split year. I know they had a split year on the saddle in 2010.

As stated above, 2014 brought the Rushmore. Major changes include water-cooled heads, better front suspension, fairing redesign, one touch saddlebags and infotainment radio with nav. There were other less notable changes as well.

2017 brought another suspension change and the M8 engine.

2010 was the first year of the limited,it also had 103 from factory.2014 they added different cam give it more torque.
i also believe 2014 was the first year of the wet head on the limited.Than 2017 limited come out with 107,I also think these have the wet heads, but not positive.

mmesaOO5 Thanks for the articles. That helped a lot. Will try to see if I can get a ride on a used 2014 to 2017 at the dealer, in my price range and see what differences I can tell. The seats look a lot wider for the passenger, so I need to take the wife along, because if she ain't happy, nobody's happy... I could see the new screen with the NAV and figured the radio setup was different. I just added a siren to the security system and a XM radio to my 2011, looks like the XM radio is also a option to the newer limited instead of standard equipment. Wonder about the siren on the security system? You would think that for the price of the bikes, this stuff would be standard equipment.
