Default Engineered a phone mount for a Road Glide

I pulled the out ambient air gauge, swapped the fuel guage into the lower hole and made a phone mount that fits the hole.

i just could not see myself putting a phone clamp on the new apes.

Next time you have the front fairing off could you take a pic of the inside? I would like to hear more about what you used.

Pretty simple. I ran to Lowe’s and picjased two round plastic electric junction box covers. I used a home saw to cut two rounds and glued them together to give me the thickness I wanted. It got a little file job so it fit just right.

I cut a piece of small flat stock and drilled a couple holes to accept the bolts from the ram mount. The flat stock spans the guage hole, so it works as a camp to hold everything together.

a quick shot of flat black grill paint I had laying around - and assemble. It is working great on our trip!

Well done Sir. I really appreciate the ingenuity it takes to do these kinda things.

Nice job! Does the Ram hold your phone sturdy enough without the added web strap they offer that holds it down by strapping it in from behind? I don't see it in your pics is why I ask.
