Looking to move my brake pedal down closer so it's less of a tractor brake. I've realized with spirited mountain riding where I need to use lots of braking, trail braking, etc., that my foot gets tired from having to keep it flexed.
I have found the E-Z brake. I'm wondering if there are any other options out there?
on my RK i had installed a extended peddle and still was not happy with it, i has enough room to drill a hole in a location that lowered the peddle a little once the pin was installed. the location i drilled was behind the stock pin location (if looking at in installed on the bike)
i was very pleased with it after i modded the pin location it was a more natural feel for me not so cramped and since my foot was not so high i had more control of the back brake
i bought a new stock brake pedal and cut a v notch in it. When I got it where I wanted it I simply heli arced it back together. The cut and weld is below the foot board. After dressing it down and painting it with silver paint you have to look for it to find the mod. I will send it to Nashville to be rechromed this winter.
Good thinking Stroker!!! Great idea- simple and cheap!! 👍
lol yeah it was a free mod for me, really put the pedal in a good position for me took about 50 miles for my brain to adjust since i was so use to the other location
I replaced the stock lever with a Kuryaken Extended Brake Lever. There a 2 options - with or without lowers. I have a Ultra Limited so naturally went with lowers. I can now operate the brake without raising my heel off the floorboard. Much better for slow speed handling when feathering the rear brake.
There are You Tube videos showing the pedal and installation. It was not hard.
I think the Without Lowers piece would be too extended for me. The With Lowers is perfect.
Bought on Revzilla for about $90, no tax and free shipping. Had it in a few days. Its all over Ebay and Amazon too.
Highly recommend this product!
