I have a 2012 FLHTK with 29000km and I have not had a problem. Wheel bearings are fine, voltage reg is fine, comp. is fine, ABS brakes are fine, shift linkage is fine etc.
I have only replaced a rear tire at 16000km.
I had a 10 Ultra, 11 Road Glide CVO and a 2000 Deuce all went from 31K to 42K without a single issue. I am at over 23K on several of the newer ones again with no issue.
Like you for me it is normal no to have a single issue with H-D's that many say have design faults.
My experience spans 17 years and 400K miles on H-D models. No wheel bearings, no compensator, no trans main shaft bearing, no shift levers falling off, no ABS problem, or any of the other problems. The new ones have not sumped or transferred oil from the trans to the primary.
Oh! On the touring models I typically get around 25K on the rear tires. Possibly a clue.
I don't know why but I do service the bikes myself and ride them in the manner that they were designed for. that could be another clue..
