security code for the alarm

I have a 2003 100th anniversary Ultra Classic HD. I'm the third owner and I do not know the security code for the alarm. The second owner forgot it. How do I get the code number?

do you have the fob?

if so, then the procedure is in your owner's manual. it's different than it is for the 2007 and up proximity systems.

And if you don't have an owners manual (where do they all go?!) you can download one by going to the H-D website and Owners tab.

no, that isn't it. that works for the 2007 and up proximity alarm. for the 2006 and older, there is a different procedure. this is from your manual:

looking at the procedure from the manual, sure does make the 07 and up procedure seem like a piece of cake. and to think, we (or at least i did) used to think it was so confusing. seems old hat now.
