you sure its not the battery? How old is your battery? Mine does that, and will do it worse if i dont put it on the charger overnight. I know its the battery but am too cheap and lazy to go get a new one.

my bikes a bitch to start, faught with it for a couple years then I went crazy and added a bunch of top end stuff with a fancey charger when ever its sleeping. knocked that problem off my list worth every penny imo.

One, could be a hole in your fuel line INSIDE the tank. (Mine did the exact same thing when hot)
Two, when you turn on the ignition, dont wait for it to prime, hit the START button right away.
