Default Tools for rockout install

I've had the kit for like two years and have never taken the time to install it, so I figured it's about time.. I have the basic hand tools needed, all the sockets, ratchets, inch lb torque wrench, compressed air and so on.. I know there are some different tools needed to torque the rear set up if I'm not mistaken. Does anyone have a brief list of what I'd need, I don't want to tear it down and have to order or hunt down tools.thanks guys

Only thing a little out of the mainstream is the torque adapters. Motion Pro makes a nice universal one that fits all wrenches...

If I can answer any questions or help in any way just holler.

A Service Manual for the specific bike would be a close starter too.

OP, if you have a decent feel for torque, you can get by without the torque adapters. Other than that, just regular mechanics' tools will work fine. I like ratcheting box end wrenches on this job, but they're not essential.

Ahh yes the service manual, why would I need that. Thats one set I don't have Veek, but I can't even count the number of times I've wanted to use them lol. Looks like I need to invest in a set. The manual was the first thing I bought Ultra, I didn't mention it because to me it's a standard thing to have.. I have repair manuals for every vehicle I've ever owned, and idk why I keep them lol

Quick caution about ratcheting box end wrenches...

Be VERY careful on the left rear bolt, under the frame. Get going a little too fast & you'll find that you don't have room to get the wrench off the bolt & out. And you can't reverse the ratchet.

Ask me how I know.

I use ratcheting box wrenches to take off the rocker box/rocker arms, and then use dog-bone torque adapter wrenches with my torque wrench to put it all together. The only bolts I can't get the torque wrench on are the breather assembly bolts...

Make sure to blow out the oil from the bolt holes before reassembly....

Depending on the year of your bike, if you have an older TC with the old style breather assemblies, upgrade them... the newer style have shorter bolts that are easier to get started

When using the dog bones with your torque wrench, keep them at a right angle (90 degrees) from the shaft of the torque wrench. If you use them in line to extend the length of the torque wrench, you will need to use a formula to figure out the correct torque...

Make sure to blow out the oil from the bolt holes before reassembly ... Good advice here ... Ever hear of "hydraulicing" a bolt hole ??
