I had an accident on my harley recently. The Harley shop tells me it's going to take two months just to get the "painted parts". Then theres repairs and the other orderd parts so in all around three and a half to four months turn around time.Is this normal ?????
It does take awhile. Here's the deal. The HD shop you deal withorder the parts, then you wait till your paint color is being painted on the line. Could be tomorrow, next week or next month. [:@]
The shops say two months (on painted parts) to be safe ... 6-7 weeks is about average.
I'd figure on 12 weeks start to finish. May be a good time to buy a new one (2.9% financing, no down), sell the old one after it's fixed, or next spring when the price may be better.
