Posted in the event somebody is doing a search. Again an old thread but I did install it on my 98 Electra Glide Classic. They do help but didn't 100 % eliminate the bagger wobble. Likely if I replaced the wear items in the swing arm, that would helps some more. As to vibration, maybe a slight increase ( but I have nothing to compare it with ) but once I changed out the front motor mount vibration was much better. You have to take into consideration that this is on an EVO and they do vibrate a bit at certain rpms. I find that the brace helps above 60 mph and when pushing the speed in turns etc. The bike will still move around like it is hinged in the middle, but much less with the brace.
In my view all of these braces are really just a band aid thing, do primarily because of the way HD designed the swing arm to double as a motor/transmission mount. If the swing arm had bearings and the rear of the motor/transmission had it's own mount we wouldn't be talking about this issue. This bike is a lot like the early Gold Wings that I've ridden & owned, 1000, 1100, 1500 cc in that they as well don't like to be pushed hard in the corners. Something to do with big long heavy bikes.
I have read that on some exhausts with the under cross over, the brace won't fit.
