Default Official 2019 model year bikes sumping thread

Would like to find out if the motor company has taken any action to correct the sumping issues that some owners have had. Supposedly, bikes that have sumped are a very small percent of overall sales. My motorcycle happens to be in a "top candidate to sump category" and while it hasn't sumped yet, i'd like to get some idea if perhaps there is a fix in place for the 2019 models.

Please no rehashing of 2017 or 2018 sumping problems. We know they are out there. Just 2019 model years bikes.

Have they even been on the road long enough to know?

According to my service tech they figured it out about mid year 18. New oil pump and another change. Haven't seen the issue on bikes after that. There was a tech bulletin out a week or two ago advising what to replace on bikes that are sumping from 17 and early 18 model year. He thinks they finally have it solved

Thanks very much. That's good information and hope it's absolutely correct. Hadn't heard of the recent bulletin.

My 2019 CVO is sumping. Tech reported 23oz in the crankcase after 20 miles.

The latest possible fix, is the newest oil pump (out of what, eight different versions), plus an oil pump backing plate with a seal on it.

That plate/seal has only been out for a month or so. It appears some early build 2019s didn't get it... So any 2017, 2018, and early build 2019s could sump.

The latest fix looks promising, but still too soon to tell for sure... Personally I still think it's a band-aide solution to a case sump design issue they don't want to tackle (to save $$$$$$), but I hope it works...!!
