I have a 2009 Electra Glide Classic. We got back from a long trip a month ago and haven't had time to ride since. I pulled the bikes out of the garage the other day and when I tried to start mine, it sounded like the starter is going but did not engage.
Thoughts?
Not necessarily an indication of a healthy battery. Pull the battery out and have it load tested.
While it's out clean and tighten both ends of all the power cables particularly the frame grounds and the heavy cable at the starter.
How old is the battery? Put a volt meter on the battery and hit the start button. If the voltage is below 10v your battery is bad.
Check battery and ground connections and starter mounting bolts.
