Hand adjustable shocks

I did the same thing on my 2010 ultra found a set of 2018 13" adjustables I believe I have them set on 3 or 4 clicks now I'm 250 lbs and that seems much better than the stock air shocks

These POS are made for weight exceeding 300# and even then only a slight ride improvement over stock air.
If you can pick them up for like $100 bucks great, anymore is a total waste of money. Got my 13" set at 0 and its still to stiff!
I have spent many hours trying different settings and the more you crank them down the worse it gets, as it should. The springs themselves are apparently made for a bus not a motorcycle.
I test rode a goldwing yesterday with air adjustable rear and the ride was like going from a truck to a Rolls Royce! Why in hell cant HD make something similar?

Must have been a old Wing. The Goldwing hasn't had air adjustable suspension since 2000 and the GL1500. The GL1500 rode like it was floating on air. Handled like a POS when pushed just a little!

The Goldwing I speak of is the 2018, 100# lighter than previous and it handles like its on rails.

The wings are nice riding bikes, but a bit boring to me.

1. My 80,000 miles the last 4 years on Hand Adjustable shocks was on 3 different new bikes. None of the shocks were "worn out" as you state!
2. The 2018 Goldwing doesn't have air adjustable shocks! As I stated the last air shocks on a Wing was in 2000. The Goldwing since 2001 has adjustable hydraulic rear suspension.
3. Buy your Goldwing if it's so great! What's stopping you? Japan can use your $28K!

My brother in law has an 06 1800, and it has air shocks with a compressor. He just pushes a button to pump them up or or air them down. He bought it used, so it may be something aftermarket, but it appears to be stock.
The wings are nice riding bikes, but a bit boring to me.
I agree the Wing is a great running and handling bike. Many 1800's out there with 500,000 miles on them and never had a head removed. lol....

Not much I don't know about the '18 & '19 Goldwing either. I looked at them hard before I bought my '19 Limited. Honda probably has the best touring bike on the market, especially if you want to ride coast to coast. The new Wing is so down sized though it looks like every other Sport Tourer on the road not the Luxury Tourer it was. No wonder it's lighter. I won't buy one mainly because Honda pi$$ed me off when they sent Wing manufacturing back to Japan from Ohio in 2010.
