Got my bike back yesterday. HD cleaned and made sure all the electrical connections were sound and relocated the antenna. They said all is well. I drove it from the shop to home 10mi. Then off to work 87mi. The next morning 87 mi back home. Then in to town for my kids sporting event 8mi. Then back to work 80-90mi scenic rout to work stopped for a 10 min break. Went to start the bike and the fob wasn't recognized (In my coat pocket). Then after cursing and calling HD it came on........? This will be the 4th time back to Harley for the same issue.
Did I get a LEMON??
Since I purchased new (8/29/18). My Road Glide Special has been in the shop 15 days and 14 visits to the dealership for the same issue. They replaced the BCM. 300 miles later it acted up again! CRAZY
Has anyone else had this happen?
Has your problem been resolved? I have a 2018 Street Glide with the same problem....Harley has changed batteries and checked the system...blamed the batteris...wrong still have the problem...thanks for your response...

Bummer!
HD replaced the BCM which didn't work. The last time it was in (right before winter storage) HD put a new antenna on the module. It was working for the short time I had it before the winter season.
I had it to the dealer 14 times in the 2 months I've owned it......
Good luck man
Unfortunately there's no Lemon Law in MN for $27k bikes.....
They replaced the security system antenna this time to see if that works.....
You don't need a Lemon Law in your state to help you get this resolved with H-D. The MagnusonMoss Warranty Act is a United States federal law. Enacted in 1975, the federal statute governs warranties on consumer products. The law does not require any product to have a warranty, but if it does have a warranty, the warranty must comply with this law.
Tell your dealer to contact H-D Tech Service (if they haven't already) and get your problem documented with them and have them give you a Reference #. Then call H-D Customer Service yourself and give them that Reference #. Tell them how long and how many visits to the dealer you've been dealing with the issue and you want a resolution before having to pursue the Magnuson-Moss path.
