Default LED Headlight help

I put a New LED Headlight on my Street Glide and I did all the measurements on the bike and on the garage wall and I had the bike 25' from the mark on the wall. So I started unscrewing the top adjustment screw to lower the high beam to the mark, but the high beam was 6"'s from the mark the adjustment screw comes out of the hole, I eventually go the screw back in the hole and tighten it 2-3 turns. So that night I took bike out to check where the high beam actually hits when I turn it on high beam, as I suspected it shined up in the trees. Pretty bright but not where I want to see. Any Suggestions? Do I need to try a longer screw? On the headlight there a top screw which makes the headlight go up and down and one on the left side as looking at the light that makes the light go left and right.

Ran into the same situation and just screwed in the lower two some more which allowed enough on the top adjuster w/o it being close to end of the threads.

I don't know anything about your particular head light, but the way I've always adjusted them is with the LOW beam at same height as the center of the bulb,at 25 feet.[cars and motorcycles.]

The problem I ran into was the longer screw didn't put enough pressure on the spring. I ended up buying a screw that was quarter inch longer and put a quarter inch spacer behind the spring against the housing, problem solved, allowed me to lower the top and the light stays tight.

I’ll try and get a longer screw and the spacer and try that. Because the only adjustment screws on this light is the top screws and 1 on the right and 1 on the left

The LED headlight I put in also had a top and one on each side toward the bottom, I ended up replacing all of the screws but that was overkill. The spacer or a longer spring should allow you to aim it down a little more.

Yep, like mine. Like I said, if you only use a longer screw the spring won't be tight enough to keep it tight. I used a small chrome spacer and chrome screws, again, overkill because with the trim ring on you don't see it. If you use spacers on all three you are defeating the purpose of the one on top, don'task me how I know that, lol. Good luck.

Went to lowes got longer screw and spacer for replacing the top screw. The top screw I took out and took to lowes I thought it was a 1/4" screw, but they had this board that has thread insert so the guy took the screw I had and he screwed into the 6mm hole so the screw is a 6mm for future reference. I'll let you know tonight or in the morning how it went in!
