Default Street glide fork can removal question

As title says. Here is a pic of the PC I'm trying to remove for powder coat. I've never taken a street glide fork apart and I hope I dont have to so I can remove this PC shown. Anyone have a video or picture step by step how to remove these?

No pics shown. Whats a "PC"? If you are talking about the fork covers, then each fork tube has to be removed to get them off. A manual is a necessity here.

No pics!!! You don't have to take it apart but you will have to remove the fork from the triple tree.

I watched the video. It you watch they remove the forks but those cans stay attached to what I assume is part of the triple tree? Or did I miss something?

You got it. Once the fork tube is out of the way, there are 2 screws attaching the slider cover to the lower triple tree.

AHHH I see. I couldn't see these screws at first. Makes sense now. Sure wish I didn't have to remove the forks to do all this. BUT, it should be worth it in the end...

Join the club! Some things are worth it - having done just that myself a while ago. A FSM really is a great investment for jobs like this.

It's not that bad if you take your time. I did it to my Road King, which requires removing the light bar and whole headlight nacelle. Do yourself a favor and invest in a service manual. There are critical torque specs for the pinch bolts on the triple tree and other critical specs related to setting the forks in the right position in the trees.
