Default Need Input - Kromeworks 2+2 Narrow Sweeper vs. Wild One WO579

Trying to prepare for an upcoming winter project. I had a lot of neck and upper back pain riding my 2014 Ultra Limited this year. Always has seemed like I am reaching too far with the stock bars. Considering the Wild 1 WO579 or Khomeworks 2+2 Narrow Sweeper. I am 5-11 with a 31" sleeve length. If you have had either or both, what do you see as differences in 1) Ease of installation, 2) Comfort, 3)Quality? Thanx.

I was having some shoulder and neck pain also with my 2017 Limited. Put the Kromeworks 2+2 narrows on this summer. Did a 7800 mi west coast trip and no neck/shoulder pain. There's a thread on here walking you through the install. Was able to use all stock cables and wires.

Thanks. I trid the Harley 12" mini-apes a few years ago but did not like them at all. I the 2+2 narrow sweepers getting good reviews in the Forum but wondered why the were half the price of the Wild Ones. I do know there is a diameter difference.

I initially installed the Wild Ones WO578 on my 2015 Ultra, which are the same width as the WO579. Loved the thickness of the 1.25" bars, which made it a breeze to run the wires inside. My only issue with them was the width at 34.5". I am the same size as the OP, 5' 11" 31" sleeve, and they were just a bit too wide. I replaced them with the 2+2 narrow sweepers and I am very satisfied as I now feel like I have total control of the bike, and no neck or shoulder issues at all.

Bluesman, excellent reply. One of the things I disliked about the HD Mini Apes was the width. They were about 34.5" as I recall. Too much of a stretch especially at low speeds or in an emergency. Khromewerks is sounding like a better choice for me.

If you go with Khromewerks, be very careful about which set you order. I ordered the narrow sweepers for my 09 EG Classic, but my part# 5900149 was actually at least 4" taller than the stock bars. I thought I'd try them anyway, but my right hand goes numb in less than 20 miles. They are so high that the tops of my hands are "in the breeze." I will have to get another set that is lower with a different wrist angle (less).
If they wouldn't look so goofy, I love the stock buckhorn bars on my 93 Softail Springer.
