If you have straight cut mufflers, once you get them started on the pipe you can put a 2x4 across the back of your muffler and GENTLY tap with a mallet to help them up the pipe. Did I capitalize GENTLY enough?

I had this problem and used a ton of WD40 to get it on. Now here's my warning. Once the pipes are on, make sure the bike is clear of everything before you start it. I go a nice large flame on ignition.

If the clamp was overtightened on the header pipe it can mushroom out the end of the pipe. i have used a grinder to clean up the end of the pipe before. Then use copper permatex it makes it slip on real EZ. Good Luck JimmyZ
