Default Windshield and bugs

looking at getting a new windshield. What do others use to keep bugs from sticking so bad. I’ve tried wax in the past. Is there any sprays to put on that keep guts from sticking so much u scrub small scratches into the plastic trying to get the guts off

I use Rejex wax. And bug slide to clean at stops. After a ride if it's really bad and I am home. I use steaming hot water. Clean bugs re-wax with Rejex. Most waxes seem to do the trick. I have tried F11 other waxes rainX. Rejex seems to work the best for me. Good luck

I have a spray bottle with distilled water inside. When I return from a bug laden ride I simply spritz the windshield and all other surfaces with bugs and let it set for 5 mins. I then take a microfiber towel and simply wipe them away. Works like a champ everytime and I'm not using any anything harsh on the fairing or other surfaces 😉

I use Bugslide. Spray it on and wipe off with a microfiber towel. It does a great job removing the bugs. I've been using it for 6 years.

i tried rainex 30 years ago on a Honda wind shield big mistake unlike glass the rainex caused the lexan or what ever this plastic is to scar up, almost like it etched lines in it, thank for the idea but got bit once with rainex unless the plast is different than it was 30 years ago. see f I can find bugslide then, the hd bug remover didn't work too well for me

I’m surprised this hasn’t been thrown out yet, but... I use Lemon Pledge. I’m happy with the results and used it for years.

To get a lot of bugs cleaned off and/or the “baked on” ones use a towel soaked in hot water placed on the surface of the shield for a few minutes. Wipes right off. Then apply Lemon Plegde.

Scoff, laugh, ridicule...it works.

I use the scrubber on a stick at the gas station if I'm on the road.
If home I use a wet washcloth with car wash soap, then squirt with water.

This, warm wet towel and let it soak a while, microfiber towels for the clean up. 2 years and the RK windshield is still scratch free.

Same here, towel soaked in warm/hot water, lay it on windshield. Let it set a few minutes, then bugs wipe right off.

I spray Plexus on the windshield, let it foam and sit on there a few minutes, microfiber it off.
Once or twice a month I apply MotoMask, slick stuff that acts like Rainx, but is safer on the windshield.
Tip: Apply it to the inside of the windshield, too.
