I've loved every mile on my '14 Rushmore FLHTK, all 36000 of them. I'm trading her on Saturday for a '19 FLHTK Peace Officer Special Edition. My question for those who've begun to explore the '19s, what are the big differences? Header pipes and cats? Improvements from moco as to the BOOM infotainment system speakers and the BOOM infotainment system? 114 v 103? I've used the fuel Moto header pipe that cut the cat with Rinehart tips and the fuel Moto Power Vision. I'm hearing that I should hold off on all of that. I'm looking forward to picking her up on Saturday. She has big shoes to fill.
I would hold off on any non-Harley, non-EPA approved upgrades until you get some miles on the bike. Using an aftermarket tuner, and some aftermarket parts WILL void your powertrain warranty. Still in the air as to whether they have found a cure for the sumping (taken them 3 years), and you want to make sure you don't have a bike that sumps, before voiding your warranty. Also, check your trans fluid frequently to see if you have the trans to primary oil transfer problem.
All these issues have been covered on here (and other forums) since the debut of the M8 engine, sadly, the general public remains uninformed..... oh yeah, don't expect your dealer to give you the true scoop either.... they are trying to sell bikes/service/parts.... They'll say what they need to say to make the sale... if they even admit to knowing about any of this "internet hysteria" (the dealer's go to line for embarrassing problems) at all....
Just search this forum for "sumping", "EPA consent decree" (for warranty issues), and "trans oil transfer"..... careful, if you read everything, you will miss your appointment to pick up your new bike...!
Knowledge is power, be informed, and then enjoy the new ride!

I would hold off on upgrades the 19s are very nice bikes the infotainment system is great works well plus the bigger motor has a lot more power. If your going to play around with the cat your warranty will not last long. HD is just looking for ways to Void them.
