Installed new battery today and hooked up old tender and everything was fine. I thought i would hook up my new tender and use the older one on something else. When i hooked the new one up the bike has an intermediate humming noise coming from underneath the seat area. Can't tell where it's coming from either. Hook old tender up and no noise. Hooked up another tender i had on one of the cars and no noise. Back to the newer style one and the noise comes back. What do i have here a bad tender ? It's putting out the correct voltage. It's brand new, but i've had it for sometime stilling on the shelve out in the garage.
Maybe i'll give Deltran a call tomorrow and see what they have to say about this.
New tender is on the old battery right now. How can i check for polarity ? When it's on another battery it's putting out the correct voltage. When the tender is not hooked up to something they all show 0 volts. It's the tender causing the bike to make the noise. This has got me stumped for sure.
Something is not playing well with something else here. It's a faint noise and can hardly hear it, but it's there only with the new tender. I will try the new tender on my truck and see what happens.
Is there a real good reason for NOT removing the seat and trying to identify the SOURCE of the noise? This must be rocket science and I just don't recognize it as such.

There should be no noise! I'd advise you not to fk with it!
The noise is coming from the siren on the bike. A small little growling type noise every few seconds and only with the new style tender. I talked to Deltran today and they said they would send me a return number and to ship it to them if i like. I don't have a printer to printer this crap off. I have to ship it at my cost and the thing is only a year old. I'm done with them, it's the fourth one to go bad on me. I think i will just put the money towards a good maintance tender. Maybe a C-tek ? All the old style battery tenders do not do this when hooked to the bike , only this new style lighter and thinner one.
