Check out the Avon Gel Grips. I wont use anything else, and I have tried a #&$@ load of them.
I read several reviews that said the Avon grips were shorter than stock or PM and leave a gap. I am installing Factory 47 bars and they are made to accept the stock grip size so I don't want to end-up with shorter grips. Ever experienced this?
These have been great grips for me. Nice size diameter wise and a nice padding as well. Very comfortable with or without gloves on. I prefer leather. The rubber grips always degrade over time and get sticky and leave black marks on your hands. Metal grips are always too hot to touch in the summer. Leather never gets too hot and hold up well to the elements.
If you don't like the leather, check out their site. Nice selection of grips and a little different than most.
I have Avon grips on both bikes if that tells you anything. On the RGS they are a large diameter that your big paws would appreciate. Have only owned a bit of PM stuff because it is so pricey and no better quality than other companies.
