2010 U.C. hard starting when hot, possible compensator issue

Well just an update after some tinkering. I did replace the battery with a new HD one and it didn't help the hot starts any. I finally ordered an All ***** starter drive and installed it and the bike definitely starts better hot. I still hear the clunk when shutting the bike off so I suspect the compensator is weak but at least the screeching and kickbacks are gone.
There are some good videos on YouTube showing how to swap out the starter drive that helped me out a lot.
