Need some help with this I am not sure about the casting on the backing plate is this something that needs to be fixed. as I don't see how oil can pass by the edge of of this. wondering if anyone has ever seen this
It's a 2007 FLHT and this is my fifth Harley all were older I can' believe how small the stock air filter is. It's surely going to breathe now. ..And thanks for the help
Not a problem......got the same year as you.......changing pipes?
it will only breath better if you change BOTH intake and exhaust.......changing just one won't help the other........gotta do both.
I got the Powervision and like it.......the factory tune is already VERY lean......now that you opened it up and it can breathe better, it's gonna be even MORE lean......so heat is gonna be problem.......but you dont have much more riding time anyways up in NH.....

Ya,thanks for rubbing that in, I was just working on the rice rocket....took it out for a quick spin, the dash said it was 48. Thank God for heated grips and adjustable windscreens.
Looks like that bike is done for the season, the sport compound tires do not like cold pavement.
The Limited will extend my season a few weeks, until I get to the Florida house where the 03 is waiting for me.
But back to the topic,Yardman you are going to want to fatten that up a bit as it is going to lean it out.
Have you considered ditching the football?
