Just installed a new center console on my 09 Ultra Classic. Bought it off eBay from a company in China unfortunately. Regardless of where it came from it looks good. The center of the gas cap pops up and a knurled portion is there to unscrew the cap.

The fit is great and the finish is terrific. The only thing I don't like about it is the fact that it's chromed plastic. Friends that have seen it say you cannot tell it's plastic though. I'll keep y'all updated on the durability. For now, I'm loving the look.
Good luck with that. I have in the past and will again go the opposite direction. I find all of that shine strains my vision at times when the sun hits it just right. Replacing the console om my RGS is on my list, just down there a ways. When I do it will be black no doubt.
