I bought me a tour-pak side marker light kit from Zanotti. Today I put them on. They give you a Assembly, wire harness to plug into light harness connector in bottom left side of the tour pak then you plug it into the LS and RS tour-pak lights but first you have to put new connectors they ship with it on the wires from the tour-pak lights so the color of the wires will match blue to blue and black to black. If you just plug them in you blow fuse. Now if they can get the wires right on the Assembly, wire harness why can't they get the two wires(black and blue) coming from the tour-pak lights correct. I wondered why they were giving you two extra connectors till I read the instructions more and it said to arrange wires in connector to match colors in wire harness and complete connections. Made in China HD I am ashamed of you.
If you look at these AMERICAN made bikes, you'll find parts from Taiwan, China, Japan and I sure a few other places also. The front end and some instruments are from Japan . The MOCO chooses whoever they get the best prices from, certainly not the best quality.
Take a look at some of the labels in the HD clothes, Korea.....and more....
for the most part it is all american, some electrical and gauges are imported also certain controls and other stuff. but other bikes are 100% made elsewhere. i can live with 97% american, especially if the rider is american.maybe in the future we can go 100%

97%??? Okay! LOL... I'd say most if not all of the electrics, braking system, suspension, gauges, alt, starter, fuel delivery system, and most chrome comes from across the pond. :-( Even in the early 80's at the York plant, I couldn't read most of the shipping crates.
FYI.... Honda and Kawasaki have many bikes made in the USA from mainly USA made parts.
That reminds me of a guy I met at the local H-D dealer a few years ago. He stated everything inside the dealership had to be made in the USA.... I just about passed a brick right there in the entry way. Duh! I loved it.... LOL!
Glad you got the lights installed Bro..... Those darn instructions get in our way sometimes don't they!
Here's a funny fact. In Chicage Dealer for shirt, made in China. Just came back from a trip to the Netherlands and bought a tee shirt in Leeuwarden Holland, MADE IN SAINT LOUIS, MISSOURI!!!!!!!
i would like to see the dollars spent here in the us , stay. all the illegal aliens sending the dollars home. the money has to be strong not dilluted. this is a great country, we just need to look to see it.
