Welcome, you rebel BADASS! I'm 52. Always rode FAST, reliable, porsche-like-handling METRIC bikes last 37 years. 1st Harley was 2002 Dyna Low Rider. Liked it REALLY well, but my bike was Street Glide 100%. Fairing and bags. Solo when I wanna, Sundowner and Tour Pack when I wanna. I'll add what I want, not strip an US or UC, then add. SG is the bike H-D built 'cause riders were doin' 'em from Ultras. Ride ON!
GR: You gotta be voted in!
Right now your stuck in what weas Street Glide ownerscall motorcycle purgatory. Despite you being a vetern forum member it is bylaw that you prove this by showing photos of the bike in your yard with your wife or better half in the background with that "honey you spent too much" look on her face. Only then we will know its true!
Nice move getting black! Everyone knows that black ones are faster.

Welcome to the dark side.

I know, pics will come soon, its all your fault, that blacked out bike with those red iron cross's has always kept me thinking! I liked the roadglide, but I hated the windshield, its look and I tried C Baileys, clearview and one of those ebay jobs, and two ones from harley. As for blowing in the wind, if you dont have a stock hieght windshield you and the passenger get blown around much more than a batwing bike. Its just one of those things I liked it, but I liked the SG better.
Been thinking that a roadglide would be my next bike, almost bought a yellow 05 before I bought the streetglide but I must say I like the look of the roadglide but love the handaling and ride of my streetglide and would probably regret it so when I realy get the bug I will probably do one of two things, serious motor work to the street glide or hold on to the streetglide long enough to know that I will like the roadglide equaly. Best case get the whife to let me have both . Her bike is worth 2 of mine eny way.
I just picked up a '07 SG last Friday. I knew it was time for a fairing bike. I wasn't crazy about the double headlight and shark shape on the RG but I must admit, after seeing nightglide, they are growing on me. The dealers I've bought from have never had a RG in the showroom when I've been there. None of the dealerships I've dealt with have demo bikes. I love what I just bought and plan on being on it for a while but when the next time comes, the RG will have to get a closer look.
