New to the HD world. I have a 2009 Road King Classic. I’d like to relocate the license plate beneath the light bar. What have you guys done? I would also like to replace the brake light with a low profile one. Any ideas? What have you guys done?
I also have a Road King Classic (2002 model). I installed a product called, "Stainless steel license plate relocator kit", which I ordered from Softbrake. (It was roughly $45 or $50 or so.) Also changed out my taillight lens to a generic, "Laydown taillight lens" that I got from JPCycles. (It was really low-priced, but it looks just as good as the stock lens.) That new lens I bought, has the clear portion in the bottom (instead of the top) so that it shines onto the relocated license plate. The back-facing portion of the lens is kind of slanted so that it somewhat follows the curve of the fender, instead of being straight vertical like the stock lens is. I did these changes about 10 years ago, and am still very pleased with how it all turned out. No issues whatsoever, and has a great look to it.
Harley touring light bar, Softbrake relocation bracket, Radiantz LED plate frame. Hated the lollipop.
You'll notice the black hole plugs where the stock plate frame was in the first pic. Didnt like that, so I bought a Harley belt buckle, ground off the bits on the back and used 3M double stick tape to mount it. I thought it came out damn good.
Excellent information here ! Keithhu ..... It was your thread that actually inspired me to do this . Love the buckle ! Great idea .... I had a small decorative plate on my last bike that read " Not all those who wander are lost "
Sorry OP , didn't mean to jump in .... I'll just kick back and enjoy the ride now !!
I also started with the softbrake plate frame on my 13 and red laydown light lense with LED so it wont melt. Progressed to shortened signals and smoked lenses with LEDs all around.

My long since traded Road King:
That is EXACTLY the look I want.
What light bar is that? I love it.
and there’s a bunch of different soft brake license plate brackets, which one did you use?
I mounted mine below the rear fender like a mud flap to show more paintwork ran an LED light also. Plugged the holes with little metal plugs that I painted to match and just silicones them in place.
