I have an 07 Road King 96ci. I bought it with 4” Rogue Eclipse mufflers. What kind of air filters would be recommended. It’s running a stock one and I know there’s something better. Thanks for the help!
The sky is the limit for options and prices. I'm personally a fan of the HD Ventilator, or just getting the high flow kit and reusing the stock football. Keep in mind, you will need to tune the bike once you install a high flow with the exhaust.
I went with the A/N Big Sucker with their "Million Mile Filter" that sure looks K/N to me, I clean it and re oil about once a year. It replaced the SEAC Filter that was a white gauze looking material that when you washed it and let it dry, the filter media was very uneven, thus filtering is not optimal. It also had stamped on it "Do Not Oil", but some oil blow by gets sucked up on it making a mess. Huh? Did not make sense. I find the K/N style filters to be much better quality, and it all fit under the factory cover.
How important is the tune? I keep hearing different things. I just bought an 07 UC with cams and exhaust and the previous owner had an ECU flash done but no tune as far as I know. There is also no tuner hooked up anywhere on the bike. It doesn't seem to have any problems though and runs like a bat out of hell.
My bikes runnng lean which is why I was asking about the air filter. I’m not a mexhanic but I’m told and please confirm if you know? The tuner puts the injectors, air intake and mufflers in tune with each other.

If it has cams it has been flashed. It would not run right with a stage 1 + cams on original tune.

In simplist terms optimal air fuel mixture for your bikes set up.
Any change to the motor/intake/exhaust should be followed by a tune.
