When the OP comes back in 2021, I'd sure like to know more about these "brake issues".

Your bike is currently worth 10 to 13k. While the sky is not falling and cosmic dust may be imminent. Get it fixed! If you don't care if it works at least think of resale value. Mine is a 2011 had fluid changed once on recall. never had issues. Pads changed once. Had no problem with bikes that came without it. Would never remove it from a bike it came with. JMO

and it will be the last time you ever have an ABS problem, if my pump fails it goes in the bin and I buy the non-ABS lines

What sort of issues are you having? That will help narrow down the possibilities of what could be wrong. For all we know it could be something as simple as a wheel speed sensor beginning to fail, which is a cheaper and simpler repair that eliminating the whole system.

I’d determine what is wrong with your brakes. Then determine if it’s more cost effective to fix them. Unless the OP is an ABS hater because he’s a real biker.

good point, I think you can pull the codes thru the odometer window but cant remember the procedure, should be in the owners manual

If you have the locked solid lever or pedal, report it to the NTSB and/or NHTSA. There should be a safety recall and new controllers installed at Harley's expense. A failed
abs system should NEVER make the brake inoperative, just no longer provide ABS protection. No matter how you choose to deal with it, let the goobermint know of the failure.

This oddly vague complaint is the only post the op has made, and he’s never come back to clarify his “problems”.

Another example of the forum owner chumming the waters for activity? Some think they do that.

More like a guy joins a forum asking a specific question and runs afoul of all the usual bullshit and says fug it and doesn't bother returning, goes somewhere else to find the answers he seeks.

This place has a tendency to dog pile fresh meat.

True dat.

I'm a senior level mod on another site, different topic, not motorcycle related. But, the same **** happens.

We love new members! And then, when a brand new member who joined the site because he wants to learn things, makes a post that makes it clear he doesn't know things yet, gets beat up, and leaves.

Mission accomplished.

Wouldn't it just be a whole lot easier to give new members a test to make sure their overall motorcycle knowledge level is good enough to associate with us real bikers?
