Changing ride height
Looking to to go to a 21” front wheel on a 2015 fltrxs. How much will this effect the ride height without changing any front suspension. Will I have to change rear wheel to keep height the same as stock or should I put lowering suspension up front? Swore I would never mess with height because I wanted to keep my rideablity.
It raised the front of mine an inch. I ended up adding progressive drop in springs lowered 1 inch and heavier fork oil. Now sits the same height as it did stock, no bottoming out issues with the better shock oil and no more ridiculous brake dive like they have stock.
Honestly the height difference is so mild mild that there’s no need to lower it unless you are already going in. I hated how wallowing the front end was and soft so I went ahead and lowered it one inch when I changed out springs and oil.
I see no ill effects, Floorboards scrape at the same angle as it did stock. Ride is better (to me) because it actually dampens now instead of pogo stick slip and I don’t bottom out on big bumps. No complaints.
