My Roadking came with two fobs and a working security system. When activated the four ways start flashing alternately and the bike wont start. A few on here have said their older system also engages the horn, is that true? I have never messed with mine as I assumed it was only lights but is it dual? Lights and/or horn? How do I tell without going in and messing up a working system? LOL
My '03 RKC chirps when the system is armed, no horn. Hold the fob button down for a few seconds and the turn signals flash twice and the siren chirps twice. Push the fob button twice and it silently disarms the system. Or at least that's how mine works.
Do you have the siren module installed on your bike or is it just the ignition disarming type system? I think it's an optional module you can get for it. Mine came with everything preinstalled.
My ‘02 EGStandard came with the factory security. No horn, that was extra $$.
Flashed blinkers once when armed, twice when disarmed, or the other way around I don’t remeber as I’ve had my TSSM replaced with a TSM years ago.
Mr. Mike, mine works that way. I didn't know if there was another part to it and it sounds as if there is an add on module MotoJockey mentioned. Thanks Fellas
That link above may also allow you to download a copy of the owners manual for your bike. I had a new '03 and IIRC it did one flash or two, as Mike above describes. Mine also had an alarm horn, but it only sounded if the alarm was activated - like unintentionally bumping into the bike when in my garage!

Yeah, that's the way it works unless someone popped for the extra siren kit (as pointed out above)

The HD security system is a big fat pain in the dupa. Ya think a couple flashing signals is gonna stop a couple big gorillas from loading your bike in a van & taking off? Glad my bitch ain't got it. All ya need is theft insurance.
