I added the Custom Auxiliary Light Kit as well as a new LED headlight. this is on a 2018 street glide
Unfortunately I must have messed up some where.
Out all the new lights ( 5 total: headlight, fog lights, Blinker/running lights...all LED) I have a low beam and one fog light.
No blinkers/running lights and when I go to turn on the high beam nothing happens. The high beam indicator will only stay on when the button is pressed, the minute you take your hand off nothing.
put in LED's on the back as well and those work.
could I have pinched a wire somewhere?
not sure where to go from here...was going to put the blinkers in the back to test and make sure they work also going to move the other fog light to the side that works and see if it works there.
LEDs are sensitive to polarity. If they were not made with Harley in mind, your bike may have the negative wire connected to where your LED NEEDS the positive wire to go. Check with a volt meter or conventional bulb to see if the inoperative LEDs actually have power, but the polarity is wrong. Conventional bulbs don't care which wire is positive.
for the head light I did also buy the 2 into 1 wire adapter as well.
hailo, I would also check your Amazon lights on an independent power supply, just to isolate them from the bike and make sure there's no issues with the product. With regards to the ProBEAM signals, please feel free to give us a call and we would be happy to help you troubleshoot. We'll be here today until 5:30 PM EST -- 800-382-1388.
Ok figured out part of the problem. I put the pins in my plug upside down for the auxiliary lights. Turning them around allowed them to push them in all the way. Now they work.
