I find this site to be a great resource for parts questions

I go to the H-D Service Information Portal, it uses my VIN to view parts. I can't get to touring info with my Softail Vin though.

if you go to the service portal and register as an independent operator, you can sign in and look at any bike, not vin specific. there is a ton of other information available, but without a subscription, you can't view it. and to get a subscription, you have to be in Europe. but, still, parts manuals, wiring diagrams, owner's manuals, etc. are all free.

no, you should be able to register. just not subscribe.
I just went to the site and attempted to do a new registration. I used all fake info, and it went through and said 'registration successful' unfortunately, it sent an email to a bogus email account so I can't activate it....
