Yeah do it all the time, butI don't have the quick detach yet so it takes me about 1/2 hr on each end of the day. I know thats cuttin into valueable ridin time. Quess I know now what my next purchase is going to be.
i'm glad to hear that other people change their's around too. i put my tourpak, seat, and tall windshield on all the time. and then take them off a couple days later. i thought it was just me being young and not satisfied with anything though.
I'm seriously considering the quick detach kit as sometimes I like the EG Standard/Street Glide look of no tour pack. It would be nice to be able to pop the trunk off. Might even look into the shorty windshield for around town to get more air behind the fairing.
Hey DI75- tell me about those tail lights you have on the back near the tops of the saddlebags. From the pic it looks like miniature versions of the old-school Cadillac tail lights from the 60's. Or am I just imagining things?
I used to have the detachable hardware for the tourpack but could never get past those brackets hanging out the rear and seeing as I ride without the TP most of the time I got rid the dockingpoints for the TPand just kept the docking points for the backrest which my wife prefers over the TP backrest. I found for the few times a year I use the TP it really doesn't take that much time to use the factory mounts.
