Default Quick Clutch Question

Interested in upgrading my clutch plates. Any suggestions on kit? I’m looking to keep a little street-ability and have already a heavy duty spring with a Barnett one in there.

Also, I’m replacing a tranny gearset. Any suggestions on where to get a main drive removal tool and installer?

Thanks!

George’s Garage has great transmission tools. I’m interested in opinions on clutches also.

It helps us to help you if you tell us what year and model your bike is and any tuning mods done to it. I have a set of +1 kevlar Barnett 1 plates in my older bike, using a heavier spring for a just over 100/100 tune.

In addition to what grbrown said, why are you wanting to upgrade? What are you trying to correct?

i have a 2008 RG. Im upgrading the tranny to a DD7 and the bike has woods 555 cams, and a 107 kit and a Ness super sucker. I found fibers in the tranny oil so I figured good enough time to replace is now while my gearset is out.

I would go with Barnett’s Scorpion clutch. It’s a bit pricey but considering what you’ve already done it’ll meet your demands. Bit of advice though, take your old clutch out and measure the spring seat at your judder spring and ensure Barnett send you the right one.

Scorpion Clutch- 2007-10 Big Twins/2006 Dyna

Part# 608-30-10009
Notes:Greatly increases clutch capacity. Provides smoother shifting and multiple spring pressure options. Ideal for stock to highly modified applications. Includes steel hub, billet pressure plate, clutch plates, and multiple spring sets. Designed to fit the stock type basket.
